NAPLAN (the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy) is sat by students across Australia in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. It is run by ACARA and held each year in March.
It covers four areas: reading, writing, conventions of language (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy. Results show how a student is tracking against national standards.
